Scarborough Beach foreshore

You already invest in your future.

Most of us put money into super, look after the things we own and turn up to the gym. Your physical capability deserves the same thinking: a bit of attention now, so it's there when you want it.

Plenty of people feel fine but have quietly accepted small limits. A slow first hour of the day. Avoiding the floor with the grandkids. Skipping the longer walk. A considered assessment can show where there's room to build. Sometimes it shows you're in great shape, which is worth knowing too.

Staying active for the long run

This is for you if.

Nothing needs fixing today. You want to look after what you've got, and build on it.

You've been here before

  • An old injury you don't want back
  • A back that warns you when you've overdone it

You're planning ahead

  • An active retirement on the horizon
  • A new sport, a big trip or a change of pace

You want to stay strong

  • Golf, walking, cycling and gardening for years to come
  • Strength and balance for the decades ahead

What your plan might include.

Proactive care looks different from care for acute pain, and it's different for everyone.

  • A baseline assessment. How you move, your strength and balance, measured so there's something to compare against.
  • Strength and movement recommendations. A short routine built around your week and your goals.
  • Advice on building capability. For the activities you care about, from golf to grandkids.
  • Periodic reassessments. Re-test, adjust and progress, at intervals that suit you.
  • Hands-on treatment. When it's clinically appropriate for what we find.
  • An agreed ongoing care approach. When your presentation and goals justify it, planned and reviewed together.

Getting back into it

A mum returning to exercise after an old back injury

Pain free for a year, but nervous about the gym.

Needs to keep doing
Running around after two kids, and getting back to classes.
The plan
  • A movement and strength assessment to set a baseline
  • A staged plan back into classes, with lifting practice
  • Check-ins as the load builds, then as needed
How we'll know
Strength numbers re-tested, and classes completed without a flare.

Questions, answered.

Do I need to be in pain to book?

No. Tell us at the start that you're coming in for a baseline assessment and we'll plan the time around that.

Will I need regular appointments?

It depends on you. Some people benefit from planned reviews and treatment, others need a routine and the occasional re-test. We'll recommend what fits your goals, explain why, and agree it together.

What does a baseline assessment involve?

Your history and goals, then tests of movement, strength and balance that matter for what you do. You leave with your results and a plan.

Can I claim on my health fund?

Most extras policies cover chiro, and rebates are processed on the spot.
