In pain

Sore right now? Or sore again?

Sound familiar?

Pain shows up in different ways. All of them deserve a proper look.

Brand new

  • Your back went picking something up
  • You woke up and can't turn your neck
  • A new injury from sport, work or the garden

Been there a while

  • Pain that's hung around for months
  • Headaches most afternoons
  • Pain down the leg that won't settle

Keeps coming back

  • The same flare-up every few months
  • Better for a week after treatment, then back
  • Avoiding exercise in case it sets it off

Consultation

Your first visit.

45 minutes, $140. Nothing happens without an explanation first.

  1. 01

    Listen

How it started, what makes it better or worse, what you've tried and what your week involves.

  2. 02

    Assess

An examination chosen to test the likely causes, and to screen for anything that needs a GP or imaging first.

  3. 03

    Explain

What's likely going on, what we recommend, roughly how long it should take and what it will cost.

  4. 04

    Start

Treatment where it's appropriate, and what to do and avoid for the next few days.

Relief now. A plan for after.

Settling the pain is often the first goal. It's rarely the only one.

Now

Settle the flare-up

Treatment and practical advice to calm things down, with a clear idea of what you can keep doing in the meantime.

Next

Rebuild function and confidence

Strength, movement and tolerance for what your days ask of you, so you're not just waiting for the next one.

Over time

Manage it if it recurs

For some people, recurring pain is best managed with periodic reviews and treatment. For others, exercise and self-management are enough. We'll recommend what fits, explain why, and decide together.

What that looks like.

Two common situations, and how a plan comes together.

Questions, answered.

Will it hurt? Do I have to be adjusted?

Treatment is matched to how sore you are on the day. Adjustments are one option alongside soft tissue work, mobilisation and exercise. If you'd rather not be adjusted, say so and we'll work without it.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what's found and what you need to get back to. You get an estimate on day one with the reasoning behind it, it's reviewed as you go, and you decide how to proceed.

Is ongoing care worth it?

For some people with recurring pain, yes, and there is research supporting it in that group. For others, exercise and occasional reviews are enough. We'll explain the options and decide together.

What if it's something you can't help with?

Then you'll hear that on the day, along with who to see instead, whether that's a GP, imaging, a physio or a specialist.

Sudden numbness in the groin, loss of bladder or bowel control, or severe pain after an accident needs a GP or emergency department today, not an online booking.

You don't have to just put up with it.

First visits are 45 minutes. No referral needed.
