How it works
It's simpler than you think
A lot of people put off seeing a chiropractor because they're not sure what they're walking into. Will I need X-rays? Will I be locked into a treatment plan I didn't ask for? What actually happens?
Here's exactly what to expect at SCC.
Step 1 - Make a booking
You can book online and pick your preferred time in under 60 seconds.
You're also very welcome to call or email to request a booking.
No referral needed.
Following this you will be sent a link to an online intake form that should take a couple of minutes to fill out. This allows us to not waste any time on the day.
Step 2 - Your first appointment
This is where we actually get to know you. Not just your pain, your life. What you're working toward, what's getting in the way, what matters to you.
We take a thorough history, do a physical assessment, and in most cases you'll be treated in this same visit. No waiting for a separate 'report of findings' appointment just to find out what's wrong. And in most cases images (x-rays, MRIs etc) are not necessary to get started.
If you do need x-rays they will usually be bulk billed.
By the end of your first visit, you'll know what's going on, why it's happening, and what we're going to do about it.
Step 3 - A plan that fits your actual life
Once we see how you respond to your first visit we can start making a plan.
We don't hand everyone the same care plan. Your situation, your goals, and your life are different from the person before you and the person after you, so your plan will be too.
We'll talk through what makes sense: how often to come in, what to do between sessions, and what a realistic timeline looks like. No lock-in contracts. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about what's going to get you the best result. If the plan we propose doesn't work for you (time commitments, financial commitments, treatment preferences etc) let us know. Our job is to find a solution that works for you.
Step 4 - Get back to doing your thing
This is the whole point. Whether that's running a race, finishing a project, keeping up with your kids, or just getting through a full week without breaking down, the goal is always to get you back to what matters.
We're not here to make you dependent on us. We're here to get you strong, clear, and capable enough that you don't need us as much.
