Not with patients. With the way chiropractic care was being delivered.
Too many clinics running people through on a conveyor belt. Ten-minute appointments. Vague explanations. A treatment plan that conveniently requires you to come back three times a week indefinitely, without anyone taking the time to explain why, or what you should be doing between sessions.
Patients leaving with less understanding of their body than when they walked in. Quietly wondering if they'd ever actually get better, or just learn to manage.
That wasn't good enough. So we built something different.
I'd felt the benefit of a good adjustment myself. I knew what quality soft tissue work could do for a body that was locked up and overloaded. And I'd seen how the right exercise prescription could make big changes.
But it seemed like no one was bringing it all together.
You'd get adjusted. That was it. Or you'd get a bit of massage. Or someone would hand you a generic exercise sheet. Each thing in isolation had some value. But I was frustrated I had to settle for one or find the time and money to seek out all of the above. Even then it was from people who weren't working together. The best results come when you brought it all together in the same room, with someone who understood how each piece interacted.
That's what SCC was built to be. A clinic where the adjustment, the muscle work, and the exercise prescription and even lifestyle, nutrition, sleep and stress considerations aren't separate offerings. They're one integrated approach, tailored to your situation and your goals.
Tim is a Scarborough local, a Dad, a distance runner, and someone who gets genuinely invested in his patients' goals, whether that's a race PB, a clean week of training, or just getting through a full day of work without the back giving out.
He's worked with 1,000+ people, from competitive athletes to busy professionals, parents, tradies, creatives, and everyone in between. The common thread isn't the activity. It's the mindset. People who care about showing up for something, and don't want their body getting in the way.
Just off Scarborough Beach Road, next door to Lady Latte. Come say g'day.
