Keeping you doing hard things.
At Scarborough Chiropractic Clinic, we believe the goal isn’t to make your life smaller just because something hurts. Our job is to understand what’s getting in the way, help calm things down, and build a plan that keeps you moving toward the things that matter to you.
Sometimes that means hands-on treatment. Sometimes it means rehab, modifying training or changing load for a while. Often it’s a combination. We look at the person, not just the painful body part, and we’d rather help you find a way to keep doing what you love than simply tell you to stop.
Whether your version of “hard things” is running a marathon, getting through a busy work week, playing with your kids or just feeling like yourself again, we’re here to help you protect your momentum.
Runners are a loud minority in the clinic, and looking after them sharpens how Tim assesses everyone. But most of the people he helps are simply active humans with back pain, neck pain, or a body that is not keeping up with the life they want.
Tim is not the whole support crew either. The clinic has an in-house massage therapist, and the two pair well. Warm, relaxed muscles make hands-on care easier, which is exactly why the quick tune-up option exists on the appointments page.
Tim’s current hard thing: Melbourne Marathon in October. Learning to do his daughter’s hair. Ask him about either, he will definitely have thoughts.

The clinic’s philosophy
Firstly, we believe in being proactive. But when pain does strike, we don’t think the answer should automatically be to stop doing the things you love. We look at the bigger picture, use the right mix of hands-on care, rehab and load management, and help you get back to moving forward. Our goal is simple: protect your momentum and keep you doing hard things.
If you want the longer version, it is the subject of our first blog post: Pain Is Information, Not A Verdict.
